IMPACT encourages Indian Americans to seek a life in public service and help build a more diverse and inclusive democracy that improves the lives of all Americans.

This presentation explores the linkages between past and present, from landmark moments such as the 1923 U.S. Supreme Court decision that barred South Asians from becoming American citizens to the 1956 election of the first Indian American to the U.S. Congress, Representative Dalip Singh Saund.
